Page VIII – Junkyard, City of Scrap (Engines of the Losts)

Just at the base of the Whirring Peaks is the city of scrap, known simply as The Junkyard. This city was created using materials salvaged from Archelm Hold. The remains of hundreds of constructs provide metal that acts as the foundation of makeshift structures throughout the city. The Junkyard has steadily grown as more come seeking fortune or knowledge from Archelm Hold. The salvagers are reckless individuals who face the dangers of Archelm Hold for a chance to plunder the rewards within. Many of the other inhabitants of the city are those who wish to test or tinker with their creations. The Junkyard provides them a place to meet other like-minded individuals and learn from one another. Within this city, you will find many who live here are mechagnomes. Some wish to unlock a fraction of the knowledge abandoned within Archelm Hold and others simply want to learn more about their origin. However, some still possess the same nefarious desires that once caused the fall of Archelm all those years ago.

The Loose Screw

The Loose Screw is a popular tavern in The Junkyard. The tavern is managed by Innkeeper Davlen, a human who is fascinated by the many mechanized creations throughout the city. Davlen has purchased several mechanical constructs called scrappers to attend to the patrons of his establishment. These constructs tirelessly serve drinks and food to guests while Davlen carelessly socializes with others, no matter how rowdy the Loose Screw becomes.

Tinkerer’s Trove

The Tinkerer’s Trove is a marketplace where inventors and engineers can come together to purchase or sell different items. Managed by Pyri Cogsteel, this marketplace is where much of the more advanced technology can be found within The Junkyard.

The Pit

The Pit is an arena created to entertain the residents of The Junkyard and provide a place where people can test their creations against others. The crushing of metal from The Pit can always be heard throughout The Junkyard. Some go to watch the destruction of constructs, others to gamble, and others to test the effectiveness of their newest inventions. This arena is run by Pit Lord Ironmane, a mechagnome who created this arena when The Junkyard was first developing.
