Giant Scorpion Fly
The Giant Scorpion fly combines deadly grapples, poison with the ability to fly. Quickly, these beasts started to dominate the aerial space of the Grove, only being hunted on by the Skullshield Ladybug.
Grasping Claws
The Giant Scorpion Fly uses its claws to subdue its prey as it fill them with a deadly poison with its stinger. The beast has also unlocked the intelligence to prepare alternatives when their debilitating poison doesn’t work. A prime example of this is the ability to grapple their prey and letting gravity do their work.
Scorpion Fly Venom
The venom sack of the Giant Scorpion Fly is located just under the base of their tail. Expert hunter’s among the Solodt harvest these venom sacks and apply the venom on their weaponry. The use of this venom is one of the reasons of the Solodt Tribe’s deadliness.

Multiattack. The giant Scorpion Fly makes three attacks; two with its claws and one with its stinger.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit 10 (2D6 + 3) bludgeoning damage. The target is grappled (Escape DC 12) The scorpion has two claws, each of which can grapple only one target.
Sting. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 3) piercing damage. The target must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw, taking 22 (4d10) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Skullshield Ladybug
The Skullshield Ladybug in one of the most feared species in the Grove as their glare quickly incapacitates its pray before striking down upon paralyzed creature. Although the Skullshield Ladybug in an omnivore, it heavily prefers meat and protein and will only eat vegetation if it must do so to survive. The Skullshield Ladybug has earned its name due to the fear-inducing depiction on its elytron (shield). Although most of the ladybug is shaded black, the skull on its physique is a clear white.
Favored Meal
In the crystal grove, almost all creatures are hunted on by the Skullshield Ladybug. Other than the Giant Hercules Beetle, in hunger, all other creatures in the grove are its target. It has one favored meal; Crystalshard goblins. Because of its preference, the crystalshard goblins fear skullshield ladybugs the most, and only the bravest of the Kreeg goblins attempt to tame such beasts. Only one in history has managed to do so, which was not a goblin, but Vix the Warlock who subjugated this monstrosity to its will.
Horrid Smell

Mandibles. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit 25 (3d12 + 5) piercing damage. The target must succeed on a DC 15 strength saving throw or fall prone.
Glare. The skull depicted on the Skullshield Ladybug lights up and attempts to invade the mind of one creature within 60 feet of it. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Charisma saving throw or take 17 (3d10) psychic damage and it becomes frightened for 1 minute. while frightened this way it is paralyzed.
