DESCRIPTION

A huge ogre-looking creature that has a large pumpkin helmet worn on its head. It wields a massive hammer and seems to be guarding the passage from intruders.

This mad soldier is all that is left of a broken gladiator. Wearing a large Helm through which no light shines, keeping the crazed warrior within from panicking.

Its Helm is made of such a thick sheet of metal that is generally used as a weapon to fight against intruders and trespassers alike. Though he has stifled his panic within the dark confines of his helmet, he rampages as if driven mad when receiving a large bloodless caused by the attacks of enemies.

TACTICS

The creature once receives a certain amount of damage, freaks out, and starts smashing its helm on the ground, attacking any enemy or object it encounters.

Abilities

  • Aggressive: As a bonus action, the Pumpkin Head can move up to its speed toward a hostile creature that it can see.
  • Freaking Out: Whenever the Pumpkin Head loses more than 30 HP on the same round, it will temporarily freak out. For the next 1d4 turns, the Pumpkin Head attacks the nearest creature it can see. If no creature is near enough to move to and attack, the Pumpkin Head attacks an object, with a preference for an object smaller than itself. The Mad Pumpkin Head will attack using only the “Head Slam Attack”, doubling his attacks per turn.

  • Metallic Head. The Creature has a Pumpkin-shaped Metal Helm (with a diameter of 8 feet) that is made of such resilient metal, that it can be used both as a weapon and as a shield. Taking into consideration this aspect and the dimensions of the head, any creature that attacks it frontally have to overcome an AC of 19 to hit it.

Actions

  • Multiattack. The Mad Pumpkin Head makes two attacks with its Greathammer, or two attacks with its Metallic Head while it is freaking out.
  • Greathammer. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.
  • Fist of the Gladiator. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.
  • Head Slam Attack. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, the Mad Pumpkin Head raises its head and then jumps toward a target at a maximum distance of 10 ft. and slams its pumpkin-shaped metal helm to the ground. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage.
