Ability
- Blessing of the Dragon Queen. Javi is resistant to poison damage
- Spellcasting. Javi is an 8th-level wizard and spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC15). He has the following wizard spells prepared:
At will: friends, poison spray, mage hand
1st level (4 slots) ray of sickness, shield, false life
2nd level (3 slots) blindness/deafness, invisibility, scorching ray (poison)
3rd level (3 slots) counterspell, protection from energy, stinking cloud
4th level (2 slots) blight, dimension door
- Toxinfilter. Javi has advantage on saving throws against poisons and the poisoned condition. Additionally, Javi is immune to poison effects created by a spell he is concentrating on.
Actions
- Quarterstaff. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit 5 (1d8 + 1) slashing damage. On hit, the target must succeed on a DC 15 constitution saving throw or take 9 (2d8) poison damage and it becomes poisoned for 1 minute.
- Breath Attack (Recharge 5/6). Javi breathes a toxic cloud in a 30 foot cone. Each creature in the cloud’s area must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 18 (4d8) poison damage and it becomes poisoned for 1 minute.
DIFFERENT VARIANTS
Maw the Greeniron Drake and Javi the Dragonmage creatures are flavoured after the green dragon, which primarily uses poison attacks. Other variants exist, as described below:
- A blackiron drake is amphibious (it can breathe air or water), has a swimming speed of 30 feet, and has resistance to acid damage.
- A blueiron drake has a burrowing speed of 20 feet and resistance to lightning damage.
- A rediron drake has a climbing speed of 30 feet and resistance to fire damage.
- A whiteiron drake has a burrowing speed of 20 feet, a climbing speed of 30 feet, and resistance to cold damage.
Each of the drakes also deals 1d4 elemental damage depending on what element it resists. The damage transfer trait also shares this damage type.
